I am an amateur Jazz musician and artist. Ever fascinated
by the human creative process, I have had the honor of conducting creativity chats online. I hope to become
certified one day as a creativity coach.
I have been singing since I was 7, mostly as an ensemble singer but I did do a solo here
and there. I have studied tap dance, hawaiin dance, modern jazz, some salsa dancing, and a smidgen of hip hop.
I fell in love with circle dancing (a form of folk and spiritual/meditative group dancing) and would love to do more of that.
While my son was in school, I served as costumer for most school productions and then
worked with several local theater companies as a theatrical costumer. I have always had a love for the stage but, until recently,
had really not found my place there. My son is now a successful stage actor, teacher, and playwright in California.
In this last decade I was introduced to Jazz Camp West and the Jazz School in Berkeley. This
is the most amazing community of teachers and artists you could ever imagine. I call Jazz Camp, "My seven days of music
heaven -- swingin in the trees." I have attended every year since 1996 and hope to return this year.
I have also been EXTREMELY honored to have met, learned from and worked with so many contemporary
muses and I will honor them on these pages as my site grows.
